Introduction of the Research Group

The momentum research group investigates the tuning of twisted van der Waals heterostructures. In such structures, e.g. for two graphene layers placed on top of each other under a magic angle topological, correlated phases from superconducting to Chern insulating states form. These are investigated using pressure, strain and gating.
