Introduction of the Research Group

The MTA-BME Topology and Correlation Lendület Research Group is a team of (young) theoretical physicists at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), focusing on condensed-matter physics, topology and non-equilibrium dynamics. Our primary goal is to study strongly correlated quantum systems, topology in and out of equilibrium, dynamical quantum phase transitions and non-Hermitian quantum systems.

Achievements

- experimental and theoretical demonstration of Kibble-Zurek mechanism in non-hermitian systems
- connecting dynamical quantum phase transitions and out-of-time ordered correlators
- Prediction and explanation of supersonic modes in strongly interacting one dimensional systems
