Introduction of the Research Group

The impetus tender was for research into fully automatic error detection and correction mechanisms for the reliable operation of the Internet. We have developed networking solutions that can provide more flexible and superior services than at present.

Achievements

We have won several international awards such as the Google Faculty Award, Best Article Awards at conferences. In our results, we propose both theoretical and practical solutions to current technical problems related to telecommunications. Their strengths are careful engineering design, effective mathematical modeling and then analysis of the problem, and finally software development so that we can demonstrate our new solutions in operation in prototype. We use a wide range of mathematical apparatus in our analyzes, depending on the nature of the engineering problems, and we like to work with Hungarian mathematicians. Our most significant results were related to graph theory, data structures, network science, and combinatorial optimization.
