Introduction of the Research Group

We are the BME Traffic Lab at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Our main scope includes control, modeling, and simulation of mobility in general. We work on future solutions for CCAM and CAVs with state-of-the-art technology exploiting simulation tools (eg Vissim/Visum, SUMO, OMNeT++, CARLA). Our activity covers research, innovation, and education related to automated vehicles and mobility. The lab's website: www.traffic.bme.hu

Achievements

  • Traffic estimation and data fusion based on heterogeneous traffic data
  • Road traffic simulation for industrial and academic research goals
  • Modern control theory and data-driven techniques for traffic control (eg MPC, robust control, AI)
  • Development of a fully flexible traffic control system on ZalaZONE Proving Ground for CCAM testing
  • Hungarian and international patents
  • Hungarian and English books
