Introduction of the Research Group

The research group is involved in strength analysis and strength verification of mechanical engineering designs, mainly in the field of nuclear engineering, including power generation by nuclear fission in nuclear power plants (NPPs). Our main focus is currently on the verification of the strength analyzes submitted by the licensee for the installation of the Paks 2 nuclear power plant.

We set up a research team of 8-10 people within BME;

We have demonstrated our complex expertise to the National Atomic Energy Authority in 2020-2021;

We have been involved in the independent expert analysis of the strength analyzes related to the construction of Paks-2.
