Introduction of the Research Group

The research group builds on the traditional research areas of the Department of Automotive Engineering to research, develop and teach in collaboration with the automotive industry, with a strong focus on the powertrain. In addition to conventional powertrains and fuels, our activities focus on hybrid and electric vehicles and new powertrains and fuels. In our projects we work with Hungarian SMEs and international multinational companies. Our high-quality tools are used not only in research but also in education.

Achievements

Green hybrid drive development - new hybrid prototype development that combines electric motors with hydraulic components for urban heavy-duty vehicles.

eTipo concept - redesign of the historical Alfa 184 race car with electric drive

Alternative combustion methods - Combining high and low-pressure EGR with fully variable fuel injection and alternative fuels, the possible future of ICE is investigated

XXL diesel - niche product development from the idea to the market
